Norwegian LEGO bricks

Single logo

Released in late 1955, this was the second unique Norwegian mould. It introduced "hollow studs" for the first time, the holes you can see underneath. The LEGO logo on the underside of this mould was slightly smaller than on the previous moulds.

In 1956 they placed the top of the hollow bricks mould onto the bottom of the single logo mould, creating the double logo mould. So the reason for the "single logo" name is it only having a single logo underneath and not on the top like the double logo bricks.

The 2x4 bricks can be found with and without slots. Possibly making them the first hollow bricks. They are quite rare, so must have been a late change.

Slotted brick variations

Here is an overview of what bricks were available in this mould. The short lines crossing the outlines of the bricks are there to identify the slots in the bricks.
